The Maintenance Service Contract is defined as onsite maintenance performed by a vendor to repair or replace equipment/parts, on a time and materials basis. The Maintenance Service contract will include the furnishing of necessary replacement parts, labor, and travel time to and from equipment location, shipping and freight of replacement parts, airfare, lodging, Annual Preventative Maintenance, and Annual Radiation Safety Survey. The contract with approval could include modifications to the design and specification of the equipment covered under this agreement, provided the modification does not adversely affect the operational performance of the equipment. All work shall be done in accordance with the codes and standards and in compliance with Fort Detrick safety requirements and regulations. All materials and equipment shall be installed in accordance with approved recommendations of the manufacturer and in compliance with contract documents. The installation shall be neat in appearance, free from defects and shall be accomplished by workmen skilled in this type of work.
