The Space Utilization, Planning and Design group (SUPD) within the Library of Congress (LOC) is conducting market research for the management, storage, and warehousing of furniture inventory for use by the LOC. This sources sought notice is being used to determine if sufficient interest and capability exists regarding a potential future solicitation. This notice is provided as information to the market place and is an invitation for potential offerors to express interest and provide information regarding their relevant capabilities. Information submitted in response to this notice may be used as a basis for a future solicitation and/or as a basis for more in-depth research of an organization's capability.


This Sources Sought Notice is for procurement planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS NOTICE. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests.

Interested parties should submit capability statements via email to Nam Nguyen, Contract Specialist, at nang@loc.gov.

The LOC requests that potential offerors thoroughly read the attached draft SOW and address the following questions contained in it as part of their capability statement.

1) Describe your company's capability to provide furnishing warehousing and inventory management.


2) Describe your company's capability of warehousing and storing furniture and products?


3) Describe your company's capability to receive/accept/reject/document/store new and existing products.


4) Describe your capability of purchasing various type of furniture including off the shelf and modular furniture. Please state if you have the capability and ability to fulfill custom requests?

5) Describe your capability to complete furniture installations and reconfigurations.

6) Describe your capability to repair and refurbish furniture.

7) Describe your capability to the maintenance and organization of an on-site furniture staging area.

8) Describe your capability of receiving and returning items to and from on-site staging area.

9) Do you provide furniture rental services? Describe your capability to handle furniture rentals.

10) Describe your capability of furniture relocation management.

11) Explain furniture protection methods while receiving/handling/transporting items.

12) Describe your capability to conduct site surveys and field condition assessments.

13) Describe your capability to store furniture or product.

Capability statements should be limited to no longer than 5 pages and also include the following information:

1) Company Name, DUNS Number, Address, Point of Contact, phone number and email address;


2) Corporate structure (corporation, LLC, sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability partnership, professional corporation, etc.);


3) References, including name, phone number and email address of individuals who can verify the demonstrated capabilities identified in the responses;

4) Socioeconomic status, including whether the vendor is a woman owned, minority owned, blind or service disabled veteran owned; and


5) Resumes for key personnel that would work on the contract for individuals with knowledge and experience relevant to the requirement described in the draft Statement of Work (Resumes are not counted as part of the 5 page limit for capabilities statements).
