The United States Air Force, Aeronautical Systems Center, Operational Contracting Division, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio 45433-5344 is preparing to solicit for a firm-fixed price contract for Ceramic Matrix Composite (CMC) test specimens. The objective of this procurement is to acquire specific CMC systems as test specimens, and evaluate their durability using advanced, high-temperature, testing methods. The CMC test specimens will be evaluated for structural Thermal Protection System (TPS) applications. The contract line items will be firm-fixed price. Specimens shall meet the requirements contained in the specifications below:
(1) S200HTM CMC (Hi-NiC Fibers in a SiNC Matrix)
A) Five Panels 7.75" x7.75" x 0.1", 0/90 layup, machined into test specimens.
B) Two Panels 7.75" x 7.75" x 0.1", ±45 layup, machined into test specimens
C) One Panel 13" x 13" x 0.1", 0/90 layup, for NDE experiments, machined into test specimens
D) Minimum strength of 32 ksi
(2) S400TM (Carbon Fibers in a SiC Matrix)
A) Five Panels 7.75" x 7.75" x0.1", 0/90 layup, machined into test specimens
B) Two Panels 7.75" x 7.75" x 0.1", ±45 layup, machined into test specimens
C) One Panel 13" x 13" x 0.1", 0/90 layup, for NDE experiments, machined into test specimens
D) Minimum strength 31 ksi
(3) N610/AS (Nextel 610 fibers in an Aluminosilicate matrix)
A) Four Panels 9" x 9" x 0.1", 0/90 layup, machined into test specimens.

Delivery for the specimens should be 12 weeks after receipt of order (ARO). FOB Destination.
We intend to award this contract sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
