The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single-source contract to Telephonics Corporation for the procurement of the following:

Repair and Engineering Studies Analysis in support of the Customs and Border Protection CBP) Secure Border Initiative (SBI); specifically as it relates to NSN's 5985-01-574-7115, 5985-01-574-7121, 3040-01-581-2344, and 5840-01-581-2117.

This single-source acquisition is necessary in order to support the need of the CBP SBI. This procurement is considered to be single-source as Telephonics Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer and the only company capable of fulfilling the Government's requirement.

Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single-source procedures.

A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm believes it can fulfill the requirement, please provide evidence of your firm's capability and experience in providing the services outlined above and the FAA will evaluate that information for use on future efforts.
