The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), Fort Detrick, MD intends to issue a sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Gasmet Technologies, Inc. for Gasmet CR-series Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy FTIR system and accessories.

The US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) requires modular rodent test chambers and accessories that are compatible with their current equipment for USAMRICD research projects. The Med Associates Classic Modular Test Chambers are uniquely capable of meeting the requirements of USAMRICD. Med Associates is the sole manufacturer of the Classic Modular Test Chamber for Mouse System. Med Associates was contacted and they confirmed that they do not have any authorized dsitributors in North America. The required chambers must be compatible with USAMRICD's current Med Associates operant equipment, including computer software, interface cabinet, and 28V power supply. Med Associates is the only company which manufactures chambers which will allow USAMRICD complete compatibility with their existing equipment. The compatibility will allow USAMRICD to continue to use existing software and programming practices that only work with Med Associates components.
