This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number: VA-263-10-RQ-0125 is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44. This solicitation is being issued as a small business set-aside and the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) code is 339112 with the standard size of 500 employees.

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 23, VA Medical Center, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has a requirement to procure an ORTHOPEDIC SURGICAL TABLE per the following must-have specifications: (1) Orthopedic surgical table with a minimum patient weight capacity of 450 lbs; (2) physician controlled foot pedal including power control for raising and lowering the femoral support posts, bed height, tilt and articulation; (3) minimum leg articulation of 28 degrees up and 35 degrees down; (4) minimum lateral tilt of 12 degrees; (5) ability for table to be lower to ~30 inches and raised to ~50 inches; (6) multiple use table to provide anterior approach to total hip arthroplasties, total knee replacement and knee scopes; (7) contoured foam pad support; and (8) Radiolucent leg spars and top for unobstructed c-arm viewing of legs and pelvis.

Award will be made to the offeror meeting the listed specification with price as a secondary factor.
