This is a Pre-Solicitation announcement to inform potential offerors of the Department of Veterans Affairs intent to advertise for bids the project entitled Correct Deficiencies 1W Sub-Basement, Project 506-21-210 to be accomplished at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center, Battle Creek, MI. A solicitation is planned to be issued on or about June 22, 2022.

The project s general scope of work is to furnish all tools, equipment, material, permits, labor, supervision, and all other necessary resources to accomplish the following work:

Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to prepare site for building operations, which include demolition and removal of existing structures, additions, and renovations for the project 506-21-210 VA Ann Arbor Correct Deficiencies 1-W Sub-Basement as required by drawings and specifications. All work shall take place at the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center located at 2215 Fuller Rd., Ann Arbor, MI, 48105.

Work is scheduled to be performed during the normal daytime business hours of the medical center excluding federal holidays.

The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction with a small business size standard of $39.5 million. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 120 days from bid opening date.

This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB). Only offers from verified SDVOSBs registered in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database (https://vetbiz.va.gov) at the time of proposal submission are eligible for consideration.

This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. No other information regarding scope, dates, etc. is available until issuance of the solicitation via Contract Opportunities at beta.sam.gov.

As authorized by FAR 5.102, solicitation dissemination is limited to electronic medium, and the VA will provide no hard copies. The eventual awardee shall also have on file a current VETS4212 report filed at https://www.dol.gov/agencies/vets/programs/vets4212 (if applicable).
