About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is seeking qualified small businesses to provide watertight hatches and doors through a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items. The procurement, identified by RFQ number N5005425Q0226, will be conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13. The Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) is specifically requesting responses from sources capable of supplying new watertight hatch and door parts, with strict requirements that no refurbished or used parts will be accepted. The solicitation will be posted exclusively on the System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), with no paper copies available. Interested vendors must submit their responses by February 6, 2025, which represents the critical deadline for this opportunity.

This contract opportunity is designated as a total small business set-aside within the Ship Building and Repairing NAICS category (336611), specifically targeting marine hardware and hull items with a Product Service Code of 2040. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses through FAC 2025-03 and the DFARS Change notice 20241218, suggesting a structured procurement process. The procurement is for new parts only, indicating a requirement for original manufactured components rather than refurbished equipment. Although the exact quantity of watertight hatches and doors is not specified, the detailed Statement of Work (SOW) will provide comprehensive requirements for potential vendors. The place of performance will be managed through the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center, which will oversee the procurement and eventual implementation of these marine hardware components.
