Update #3 · Latest ·
The purpose of this Amendment 2 is to provided updated drawings for P/N 7103923-9 and to extend the due date to 9:00 am Pacific Time, 05 December 2018.
.
Update #2 ·
The purpose of this Amendment 1 is to provide answers to questions received.
Question 1: Please confirm our understanding that the USG intends to award only a single contract to one supplier for the entire list of 19 p/ns.
Answer 1: The Government intends to award a single contract to one supplier for all items.
Question 2: Is this RFQ FOB Destination or FOB Origin?
Answer 2: FOB Destination is preferred. However, if quoting FOB Origin, please include the amount for shipping.
Question 3: Please confirm the Option scenario is to be exercised NLT 9/30/18 per our discussion earlier today since there is no period of performance specified in the RFQ or in the FAR clause 52.217-6 for when the Option would be acted upon.
Answer 3: It is the intent of the Government to exercise the options NLT 9/30/2019.
Question 4: For the Options, would the USG only award all 19 p/ns for the 4 pcs each or pick some of them and or a quantity lower than 4? Please clarify.
Answer 4: It is the intent of the Government to exercise all options for the full quantity.
Question 5: Where is packaging defined? I ask this since these Mk41 have very specific and expensive packaging requirements and if not detailed, then other bidders who have not bid these cables, may just assume best commercial practice which is not only a fraction of the cost, but also just "put it in a box" method. This needs to defined as all the DLA orders for the 6912309 have very detailed packaging call outs.
Answer 5: Level B Packaging and Packing of Military Specification MIL-STD-2073-1E or the latest revision as of the date of the Contract.
Question 6: The RFQ states that the "USG will test all cables" so that means others who have not passed any qualification or fit check, can bid and then the USG will get cables w/o any advance FAT?
Answer 6: The Government will test all cables upon receipt. All cables that do not pass the Government test will be returned.
