This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has a requirement for Universal Testing Machine Model 1000SL - Tinius Olsen.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This combined synopsis/solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) under solicitation number 2018-Q-68019 using FAR Subpart 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Any incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97, effective January 24, 2018.


This requirement is solicited as a Full and Open Competition under NAICS code 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 500 Employees.


This project is supported by a Brand Name Justification under procedures in FAR 13.5 in accordance with FAR Parts 12, 13, and 13.106-1(b), 13.501(a), and 41 U.S.C. 1901.


The CDC intends to award a single firm fixed price purchase order for this requirement. The government reserves the right to award any, all, or none of the options under this requirement.


Please refer to attached document for clauses and provisions applicable to this acquisition.


The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision.


This award will be made to the offer under the conditions found in FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation of Commercial Items.


Offerors must include FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, with the offer or indicate if the offeror's Representations and Certifications are available online at SAM.gov.


The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition

A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be issued in writing to the successful offeror.
