NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT
REQUISITION NO: 5078189
INTENDED SOURCE: Wyatt Technology
PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: ARO 4-6 weeks


DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT:


This contract action is for the acquisition of supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS), Office of Acquisitions (OA) intends to award a single source purchase order to Wyatt Technology, 6300 Hollister Avenue, Santa Barbara, CA 93117-3115, for the acquisition of a Wyatt uDAWN SEC-MALS System.

Research grade, multi-angle static light scattering instrument
incorporating three detection angles and an ultra-low-dispersion flow cell
for use with UHPLC. Suitable for measuring molar mass (Mw) in the
range 200 Da - 10MDa and sizes (Rg) in the range 10-50 nm. Includes
integrated COMET (ultrasonic flow-cell-cleaning system), ASTRA data
collection and analysis software, 4 analog inputs for external detectors
and a touch-screen display. Field-upgradeable to add embedded dynamic
light scattering (DLS) detection for measuring sizes (Rh).
