The proposed procurement is for NSN 4710-01-657-5951 (P/N 518309-17) made in accordance to 80020 NAVY drawings. Item is coded as a Critical Application Item, and requires source approval from NAVAIR, Lakehurst. Solicitation is unrestricted. Contract type will be firm-fixed priced for a base quantity of 1,073 EACH. Item is for DLA Stock Location, SW3218 San Diego, CA. Requested delivery is approximately 600 days with First Article Testing. Solicitation will require FOB Origin with Inspection and Acceptance at Origin. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.

Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.
