About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is seeking to procure 16 TRANSMITTER, PRESSUR units, identified by NSN 7H-6685-013911192, TDP VER 012, REF NR PGT-GP-1000-G2. This requirement is set aside for small businesses, and the Government may exercise an option to increase the quantity within 365 days of contract award. Interested parties must comply with any qualification requirements at the time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The proposed contract action will be for a commercial/nondevelopmental/off-the-shelf item, and the Government is not using FAR Part 12 policies for the acquisition.

This procurement is subject to the Buy American Act, Free Trade Agreements, and the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement. The Government is not seeking competitive proposals at this time but is interested in identifying capable sources. Any interested parties should respond within 15 days to identify their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item.

NSN 7H-6685-013911192, TDP VER 012, REF NR PGT-GP-1000-G2, QTY 16 EA, DELIVER TO W25G1U, W1A8 DLA DISTRIBUTION, NEW CUMBERLAND, PA 17070-5002, DELIVER TO W62G2T, W1A8 DLA DIST SAN JOAQUIN, TRACY, CA 95304-5000. The Government intends to add an option quantity to the resultant contract. In reference to the option quantity, the Government may increase the quantity of supplies called for in the Schedule at the unit price specified. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 365 days after award date. Delivery of the added items shall continue at the same rate as the like items called for under the contract, unless the parties otherwise agree. This part is a commercial/nondevelopmental/off-the-shelf item. Commercial item descriptions, commercial vendor catalog or price lists or commercial manuals assigned a technical manual number apply.Interested parties may obtain copies of Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, Qualified Products Lists (QPLs), Qualified Product Databases (QPDs), Military Handbooks, and other standardized documents from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service (DAPS) in Philadelphia, PA. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets the qualification requirement(s) at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation.Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services.
