About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure tiles measuring 24 by 24 inches under NSN 1H-2090-015635168-ST (TDP VER 006, REF NR DURA 1). This procurement is classified under PSC Category 2090 (Miscellaneous Ship and Marine Equipment) and requires engineering source approval from the design control activity to maintain part quality. The contract necessitates that suppliers possess unique design capability, specialized engineering skills, and manufacturing or repair knowledge that are not economically available elsewhere, with data rights and technical information essential to preserving part quality. Qualified alternate sources must meet the design control activity's qualification procedures as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on March 14, 2025, with a response due date of February 23, 2026. Interested contractors should obtain relevant Military and Federal Specifications, Standards, and Qualified Products Lists from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/ or by contacting the ASSIST Help Desk at 215-697-2667.
This procurement involves no set-aside designation and carries a quantity requirement of 403 tiles with delivery on a free-on-board (FOB) origin basis. The notice does not identify specific incumbent contractors or current suppliers, nor does it disclose a stated award value or budget range. While the pre-solicitation notice does not specify evaluation criteria beyond source qualification and design control approval requirements, bidders should be aware that the approval process may involve technical assessment by the Government engineering activity with jurisdiction over the part's intended application. The extended timeline from posting to due date provides potential offerors with approximately eleven months to prepare their proposals and submit qualification documentation.
