Thompson Basin Juniper Reduction Mastication, 467 acres
Amendment 0001 is issued to answer three questions received about the solicitation. There is no change to the due date and time for quotes.
Q1. Can we drive UTVs on BLM roads to access job sites. If so, do you need a special permit to do so?
A1. Yes you can drive BLM roads. We suggest getting a permit from Colorado Parks and Wildlife since it is a off road vehicle.
Q2. Is a site visit scheduled?
A2. No site visit is scheduled but offerors may visit the area on their own
Q3. Will partial payments be authorized?
A3. Partial payments that correlate to the percentage complete can be made. 50% complete = 50% of pay, then 75% complete = 25% pay, the last 25% of pay will be made when the whole project is complete and meets all requirements in the contract.

Thompson Basin Juniper Reduction Mastication, 467 acres
The Bureau of Land Management, Colorado, has a requirement for cut and shred (general masticate),lop and scatter juniper trees with a Contractor furnished machine (e.g. Hydro-Ax, Fecon Bull Hog, chainsaws), 467 acres The location is 20 miles west of Maybell, CO.
Details are included in the Statement of Work with a map and the Wage Determination attached to this RFQ. A KMZ location file is also available but the format is not compatible with SAM, request the file by emailing the Contract Specialist at lstjohn@blm.gov. A site visit is not scheduled but offerors may visit the location on their own.
This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set-aside. The NAICS associated with this solicitation is 115310 Support Activities for Forestry, Fuels Management, which has a small business size standard of $20.5M.
Award will be made on a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable basis. See provision 52.212-2 `Evaluation' for details of what should be included with your quote.
Quotes shall be submitted via email to lstjohn@blm.gov by no later than Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at 4:00 pm MDT. All quotes received will be acknowledged by a return email. Please include the RFQ number (140L3722Q0044) in the subject line of the email to ensure your quote is properly identified.
Due to system limitations submissions through sam.gov or FBMS/PRISM will not be accepted. Offerors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management (sam.gov) as of the closing date and time of this solicitation. Please include your SAM UEI (Unique Entity ID) number with your quote so that we can verify your registration.
