SPECIFICATION

The US Geological Survey - Pacific Coastal and Marine Science Center provides information that supports decision makers and resource managers in the preservation of life, health, and safety of the American people and to related information delivery systems for global monitoring and reporting. In accomplishing this, the USGS requires a Compressed High-Density Radiated Pulse (CHIRP) side-scan sonar system that includes a dedicated laptop as described in the attached Salient Characteristics. Digital processing during data acquisition (analog to digital conversion and outgoing selected pulse match filtering) must be capable of real-time application to allow for rapid identification of sampling targets while surveys are underway.
