About this opportunity
The Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management is seeking a contractor to conduct field surveys of priority raptor nesting habitat across non-roaded portions of Alaska. The solicitation is for a firm-fixed price contract, or potentially multiple awards, to survey the occurrence and occupancy of nesting Golden Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Gyrfalcons, and Bald Eagles from June to July 2025. The contractor will be evaluated on their technical capabilities, past performance, and pricing. Quotes are due by August 27, 2024.
This is a small business set-aside opportunity. The government anticipates awarding a single contract, but may make multiple awards if it is more advantageous. The contract will cover surveys in the Eastern Interior Field Office area, including the Fortymile River region to monitor Peregrine Falcon population trends. The period of performance is from November 1, 2024 to October 31, 2025, and the work will take place across an area of approximately 10,130 square kilometers in northern Alaska.
