About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 500 studs identified by National Stock Number 1H-5307-014790795-L1 for delivery to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The procurement involves a complete technical data package with no restrictions on technical data, engineering, tooling, or manufacturing processes. The opportunity is currently in the pre-solicitation phase, with proposals due by May 6, 2025, after being initially posted on April 5, 2025. The government possesses full rights to the technical data associated with this contract, and the opportunity is structured to allow for full and open competition. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the procurement appears to be structured for straightforward acquisition of standardized components.
The contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns, with potential additional designations that could further narrow eligibility, including HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, or Women-Owned Small Business programs. The specific procurement falls under Product Service Code 5307 for studs, with Acquisition/Requirement Management Source Codes (A/RMSCs) 1 or 2 being valid for this opportunity. The total quantity of 500 units suggests a moderate-scale procurement with potential for precise manufacturing specifications. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical data package and specific stock number indicate a specialized component procurement for naval maritime infrastructure or equipment maintenance.
