About this opportunity
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia is seeking to procure four Stabilizer Trim Motor units with specific NSN 7R-1680-016686647-P8, part number 6355C0001-02. The procurement is specifically targeting FAA-Certified parts with an FAA Authorized Release Certificate (FAA Form 8130-3 Airworthy Approval Tag). This acquisition will be conducted on a competitive basis using FAR Part 13 procedures, with electronic solicitation through NECO. Interested organizations must submit their capabilities and qualifications via email to Dylan.e.payne.civ@us.navy.mil by March 10, 2025. The government will consider all proposals received within 45 days of publication, with the primary evaluation focus on source approval and capability to provide the specialized aircraft component.
There are no specific set-aside designations for this contract, and the procurement appears targeted to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The anticipated contract award is scheduled for April 2025, with delivery FOB origin. The total quantity requested is four units, and the procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 and FSC 1680. While the government does not own the technical data rights for this part, they are seeking qualified suppliers who can provide the exact specification. Firms not currently approved to manufacture the material must submit a Source Approval Request (SAR), though the procurement will not be delayed pending SAR approval. The procurement process emphasizes that this is not a formal request for competitive proposals, but rather an intent to gather information for potential competitive procurement.
