THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time.
Market Research is being conducted to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, 8(a), Woman Owned Small Business or HUBZone interests.
The Hampton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is trying to determine whether to set-aside an acquisition to provide Switchboard Operators at the Salem VAMC.
The scope of the acquisition includes but is not limited to -
Services are to include:
provide telephone switchboard operator services
major telephone equipment provided shall consist of Alcatel equipment
Qualifications for Operators are to include:
Telephone operator must be able to assume the responsibility for placing a variety of special calls (e.g., conference calls, long distance. calls, etc.) over varied circuits or routings, or performing information operator work, which requires knowledge of the organizational units and major functions of a large multi-division organization
Operators must have the ability to meet and deal with people from a variety of backgrounds, with varying levels of understanding, work under pressure and stressful conditions and adapt to changing working conditions
Project manager shall not allow new personnel to perform duties alone until he/she has received at least two weeks of on-the-job training

In response, please include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intent to submit a bid as a prime contractor (capability statement); (b) evidence of experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact and telephone numbers;
Responses to this notice should also identify whether or not the firm falls into any of the socioeconomic categories listed above. Your response is required by: 12:00 PM EST on October 23, 2019
All capable Service Disabled Veteran Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will not pay for any information solicited.
