PTAG Part 6.1.1 Special Notice - Non-Competitive
The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has a requirement for Automic ONE (formerly App Worx) software maintenance services. The software is manufactured by Automic Software, Inc. The software maintenance services are required by the USPTO Systems Performance Branch to support current software that is already in use by the USPTO.
The USPTO intends to negotiate and award a contract for Automic ONE software maintenance services with NAICS 541519. The anticipated award date is December 1, 2015. Award will be negotiated with AUTOMIC SOFTWARE, INC., 14475 NE 24th ST, SUITE 210, BELLEVUE, WA, 98007-3739 for a period of one year with an estimated value of $18,730.00. The order will also include four (4) additional option years; each priced as follows:
December 1, 2015 through November 30, 2016. $18,730.00
Optional Period 1: December 1, 2016 through November 30, 2017. $19,667.00
Optional Period 2: December 1, 2017 through November 30, 2018. $20,651.00
Optional Period 3: December 1, 2018 through November 30, 2019. $21,684.00
Optional Period 4: December 1, 2019 through November 30, 2020. $22,768.00
Total Price: $103,500
The USPTO's market research included a market survey of resellers for the requirement. The results indicate that AUTOMIC SOFTWARE, INC. is the only known qualified source with the ability to meet the USPTO's requirement. As a result of USPTO's exemption from the Competition in Contracting Act, the subject requirement is being procured using the Alternative Competition Method in accordance with the Patent and Trademark Office Acquisition Guidelines (PTAG) and the Patent and Trademark Office Efficiency Act, 35 U.S.C. 2(b)(4)(A).
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This notice is issued in accordance with PTAG Part 6.1.1, Non-Competitive.
