About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Distribution is seeking to procure specialized sink kits for the U.S. Navy Medical Readiness Logistics Command as part of a modification and refurbishment project for four ISO shelters within Expeditionary Medical Facilities. The procurement focuses on replacing sink kits for pharmacy, central sterilization, and laboratory shelters with exact replicas of the original systems manufactured by Babington Technologies. Key contract requirements include maintaining configuration management, ensuring form, fit, and function compatibility across platforms, and preserving interchangeability of systems without engineering modifications. The sink kits must connect seamlessly to existing utilities and power hookups while minimizing logistics requirements and eliminating additional maintenance training for support personnel. The pre-solicitation notice indicates a due date of May 6, 2025, with the opportunity posted on April 22, 2025.

The contract opportunity is not designated with a specific set-aside, and the procurement is being pursued as a sole source purchase order directly with Babington Technologies. The sink kit systems will include comprehensive components such as stainless-steel cabinetry, plumbing and electrical elements, sterilization systems, hardware, an integrated waste tank with grinder/transfer pump, and a hot water heater. While specific pricing details are not disclosed, the procurement falls under NAICS category 332999 (All Other Miscellaneous Fabricated Metal Product Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The Federal Supply Code for the items is 4510, and the contracting office is located in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, with Tom Semones serving as the point of contact. The project involves replacing sink kits across four Navy medical facility ISO shelters, emphasizing precise replication and system compatibility.
