CHANGE :  Date of SITE VISIT IS NOW TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2015.  0900.

CHANGE:  ESTIMATED DATE SOLICITATION WILL BE POSTED IS CHANGED FROM  December 7, 2015 to December 22, 2015 with a new response date of February 23, 2016.  Set Aside Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business.

CHANGE:  CORRECT SET ASIDE FROM SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS TO TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS.  Dates of previous change remain. 


The Inyo NF is requiring reconstruction of the road, campsite spurs, parking areas and adjacent road accessories of the Silver Lake Campground. The reconstruction will require removal and disposal of asphalt throughout the campground to install a new designed road section consisting of geotextile fabric, 4-inch aggregate base and 3-inch of asphalt to meet a new design grade. The loop roads will be widened from 10' to 12' to accommodate the RV traffic. All of the signs and barricades will be removed and replaced according to the plans. There will be sub excavation and disposal of soil, gravel and concrete around a bathroom to have the asphalt meet existing grade.

Project Location
The project is located on the Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Ranger District, west of the community of June Lake, CA. The project can be accessed from June Lake, via CA-158 west for 5 miles, turning right into Silver lake Campground Project Area


Site visit.
In order to provide the vendor with an opportunity see the project area prior to snowfall a formal site visit is scheduled for 10 November 2015. All interested vendors should meet with Forest Service personnel at Silver Lake campground entrance at 0900. Please contact Justin Krieg at 530-710-3653 or email to jkrieg@fs.fed.us to schedule your attendance.


All interested vendors are recommended to conduct a site visit prior to snowfall, if necessary independent of the formal site visit conducted with the Forest Service. Please contact Justin Krieg if you are making an independent site visit.

The Government's estimate is $500,000 and $1,000,000.
