Added: Jul 21, 2015 9:35 am This requirement is National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) required inspection, maintenance, testing, repair and if necessary, replacement of the fire extinguishers for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Eastern Currency Facility (ECF). The BEP maintains approximately 1000 portable fire extinguishers. These extinguishers encompass approximately 955 type ABC's, 35 type BC (CO2), and 8 type K's. They range in weights from 2 ½ lbs. to 20 lbs. The portable fire extinguishers are to be serviced annually and/or as needed.

Quoters Please Note:
1. Offerors must complete blocks 17a, 17b, 30a, 30b and 30c on page 1, SF Form 1449. Contractors are reminded to complete and return all required certifications contained in this solicitation.


2. Offerors must submit any questions regarding this solicitation in writing to the Contract Specialist. Questions must be received by the Contract Specialist in adequate time to allow a written response prior to the quote due date. No remarks or written responses to questions by Government personnel shall change or qualify any of the terms or conditions of this RFQ. The solicitation can only be changed by a formal written amendment issued by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Office of Acquisition, 14th & C Streets, SW, Washington, DC 20228. Questions concerning this RFQ may be emailed to david.wallace@bep.gov.


3. All contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award of a contract. Contractors shall ensure SAM registration is active and shall not assume that CCR information automatically migrated to the SAM system. The official SAM website is https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors are encouraged to complete SAM registration as soon as possible. The Government may not delay award for the purpose of allowing a contractor time to register in SAM.


4. Amendments: All amendments will be posted to FedBizOpps.Gov, the Federal Business Opportunities Acquisition Web Site located at https://www.fbo.gov/. Contactors shall monitor the website for any amendments and acknowledge those amendments, as required.


5. All offers/quotes shall be submitted through FedBizOpps.Gov, the Federal Business Opportunities Acquisition Web Site located at https://www.fbo.gov/ or email to: david.wallace@bep.gov. All quotes shall be submitted no later than the date and time specified for receipt (see Block 8 on the SF 1449 or the latest issued amendment).


AWARD


The award of any contract issued hereunder will be made in the aggregate to the lowest-priced responsive, responsible quoter to include the following. Failure to submit a quote on all items may render the quote nonresponsive.


A. Quoters submitted on a basis other than F.O.B. destination will be rejected as nonresponsive.


B. Quoters shall submit all unit prices to the whole penny; any fractions will be rounded to the next higher whole penny per unit for evaluation and award purposes.
