NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLICIT FORM A SINGLE SOURCE
Preventative Maintenance, Upgrades and Repair
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS OR PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source for the preventative maintenance, upgrades, repair of Johnson Controls, Inc. Energy Management System to include Metasys Control System and BACnet systems. These services will be performed at the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center, 10000 Bay Pines Blvd., Bay Pines, FL. 33744. Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a), the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Period of Performance: Date of Award through 12 months with four, one-year options.
Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, those interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by April 11, 2018, 3:00 PM EST, will be considered by the Government. If the VA does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement by the afore mentioned date, in accordance with FAR 13.501(a), efforts to obtain these services will be continued with Johnson Controls, Inc. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or changes by the Government will arise because of contractor submissions of responses to this announcement or the Government use of such information.
The capability documentation should include general and technical background describing in detail the prospective contractor s capabilities and experience that will demonstrate the ability to support the requirement. In addition, include proof and training and certification for performing maintenance and service on the equipment and systems to ensure predictable performance.
