This Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation Notice is ONLY A NOTIFICATION that a solicitation is anticipated and forthcoming. All questions regarding this Synopsis/Pre-Solicitation should be submitted in writing to the Point of Contact(s) indicated below.
Construction Project:
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District requires clamshell maintenance dredging of the Duwamish Waterway Federal Navigation Project. The volume of sediment to be dredged from the Duwamish River is approximately 65,000 cubic yards with Disposal at the DNR Elliot Bay Open Water Site. In-water work begins 1 December 2017 and all in-water work must be completed by 15 January 2018 and all work and final cleanup of the premises no later than 14 February 2018.


The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price.


Solicitation number W912DW-17-B-0003 will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website, www.fbo.gov, on or about 20 July 2017. The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bids. Bids will be due no sooner than 17 calendar days after actual solicitation issuance date. See the solicitation for details about bid opening. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction - Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities, and the associated small business size standard is $27,500,000 in average annual receipts. The solicitation is set-aside for small business concerns.


The solicitation documents for this requirement will be issued in electronic format only and will be made available online via the FBO website at www.fbo.gov under the subject solicitation number. NO CD's OR HARD COPIES WILL BE AVAILABLE. Offerors are responsible for checking for any update(s) to the Notice/Solicitation.
