The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22, intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) - Soliciting from a single source for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, to Visioning Healthcare 5500 Bee Ridge Road Suite 106 Sarasota, FL 34233. The proposed action will acquire Safe Patient Handling Movement (SPHM) education services to train medical staff of VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS) in order to successfully meet the requirements of the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Directives 2010-032. The SPHM program will ensure continuance of quality of service to the patients and a safer work environment for the hospital staff. Visioning HealthCare is the only company accredited as a provider of continuing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide SPHM education as well as program assessments and evaluations. The estimated period of performance is six (6) months from the date of award.
This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledge. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government.
Responsible parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement via email to Jennelyn Peters at Jennelyn.Peters@va.gov no later than 12:00 pm EST, April 28, 2015. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the services required and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's bona fide capability to provide these services. Telephone responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
