About this opportunity
The United States Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center is seeking to procure 110 Honeywell rotary bilge level limit switches with specific technical requirements, including a side rotary lever, adjustable lever length, and precise ampere and voltage ratings. The procurement is structured as a Firm Fixed Price Contract using simplified acquisition procedures, with the agency believing only Honeywell Sensing & Control and their authorized distributors can provide these specialized units. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management, possess a valid DUNS number, and submit a letter from the original equipment manufacturer verifying authorized distributor status. The evaluation criteria will be lowest price technically acceptable, with the Coast Guard intending to award on an all-or-none basis to a responsible offeror. Quotes are due by May 28, 2025, at 10:00 am Eastern Standard Time, with potential offerors having two calendar days from the posting date to submit comprehensive information demonstrating their capabilities.
The solicitation has no specific set-aside designation and is targeting a non-competitive sole source purchase order for the specified switches. The contract will be fulfilled at the USCG Surface Forces Logistics Center in Baltimore, Maryland, with strict packaging requirements outlined in MIL-STD-2073-1E that mandate individual preservation and packaging using specific wood-cleated panel-board shipping boxes or heavy-duty wooden/fiberboard containers. The procurement falls under NAICS code 335931 with a business size standard of 600, and substitute parts will not be acceptable. Detailed technical specifications require each switch to meet precise operational parameters, including specific operating force, pretravel, overtravel, and differential travel measurements. Any crates or boxes weighing over 50 pounds must be skid-mounted or secured to a pallet to facilitate forklift use, emphasizing the government's meticulous logistical requirements.
