Roof Replacement / Roofs @ SPS, Pathology, Building #35
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The work includes but is not limited to: provide all equipment, tools, labor, and support services for removal and installation of new Fluid Applied Roofing System (tested by a qualified testing and inspecting agency to resist uplift pressure calculated according to ASCE/SEI 7).
This project will include, but is not limited to, all work including construction administration, demolition, and installation of roofs on building at the area of SPS for the project.
The scope of works includes but is not limited to: the demolition and removal of existing roofs, replace/repair metal roof deck, plywood deck, concrete deck, installation of new roofs and safety roof railings. These areas are all clearly shown on the VA provided plans.
The VA shall be considered the Architect of record and all RFI's and submittals shall be sent to them for resolution through the Contracting Officer (CO).
After Contract Award the Contractor is required to provide a Payment Bond, a Performance Bond and an Insurance certificate within 10 days. Once received and confirmed, the period of performance for the above mentioned project will begin with a Notice to Proceed (NTP) issued at a Pre?Construction Meeting (Pre?Con) and shall not exceed 180 days after NTP. As part of this solicitation the General Contractor (GC) shall submit a preliminary schedule using Microsoft Project showing the methodology for accomplishing the project.
