About this opportunity
This Request for Information is seeking sources within the small business community to establish a vendor pool capable of providing a Liquid Chromatograph Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer system. The Consumer Product Safety Commission requires this new LC/MS/MS equipment to conduct chemical analysis of consumer products. Responses should illustrate the ability to meet requirements for specified mass spectrometer sensitivity and scan speed, as well as liquid chromatograph column oven capabilities, flow rate, injection volume and autosampler functions. Associated equipment for a roughing pump, nitrogen generator and uninterruptible power supply must also meet defined size, weight and noise restrictions. The response deadline is July 22, 2020.
This opportunity is set aside exclusively for small businesses utilizing NAICS code 334516 - Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. The contract would be a firm-fixed price award with delivery of the LC/MS/MS system within 30 days and installation/training completion 60-90 days post-award. A one-year warranty is required along with optional multi-year service pricing. No incumbent is identified, though the budget range could support a single-award contract valued between $500,000-$1,000,000 based on typical market prices for such an analytical laboratory instrument system.
