This is a Request for Information (RFI). 


The USDA-ARS intends to purchase this item(s) if and when funding becomes available.  This request is submitted for the USDA-ARS to build a requirement and find potential vendors for product(s) to enhance research capabilities.


Specifications below are based on the Brabender Amylograph currently being used.  The USDA-ARS requests proposed products that meet and/or exceed the current specifications for the listed item.  The USDA-ARS is looking to upgrade aging equipment with state of the art products. 


The USDA-ARS is currently using a Brabender Amylograph:


 


Important functions for suggestions:


 







-Replace Brabender Amylograph



-Perform starch or flour pasting curves analysis consistent with existing amylograph data



-Pin and paddle confirmation should be consistent with existing Brabender instruments



-Programmable time and temperature profile capability



-Use 300 grams of material for flour or starch analysis
