PROJECT SCOPE:
The National Park Service (NPS) Cape Hatteras National Seashore (CAHA) has a requirement to replace roofs for three comfort stations and three shower buildings at Oregon Inlet Campground with new structural standing seam metal roofing systems.

The contractor is required to verify existing conditions.
There are three Comfort Stations and three showers that were constructed circa 1963. The comfort station structures are single story wood frame buildings constructed on timber pile foundations. The roofs are hipped A-frame type with board ceiling/roof deck and cedar shake shingles and 2x10 exposed wooden facia. The roof overhangs the exterior walls measuring approximately 16”. The roof of the building measures approximately 37 ft x 22 ft, approximately 814 sf. Each comfort station has two skylights, one rain diverter over entryway and one wastewater vent in the roof.
The three shower buildings are wood framed structures. The roofs are built with plywood sheathing and cedar shingles overhanging roof. Trim surrounds all four corners of the wall and along the top edge and around each door. The showers consist of 3 individual shower units separated by the interior block walls and a water heater room on the left side rear. The exterior walls measure total length and width of 14 ft x 14 ft with an estimated area of approx. 200 sq ft each. The Roof is a Hip style with 4’ x 4’ a skylight copula at the peak

PROCUREMENT TYPE: The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract to meet this requirement.

SET-ASIDE: This acquisition has been set-aside for small business concerns. Offers will be solicited only from small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not small business concerns shall be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected.
