PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project Project 610--15-102 Replace & Upgrade Fire Alarm System: 1. It is the intention of VA Northern Indiana Health Care System to solicit bids for the following: The Contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to install a new addressable fire alarm system throughout the hospital replacing and removing the existing antiquated system. It will also provide for a public address and emergency mass notification paging system in buildings 15, 16, 17, 124, 127, 138, 172, 174 and 185 at VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, Marion Campus, 1700 E. 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953. 2. Any items being removed are to be disposed of by the contractor. 3. All above work to be done in accordance with contract drawings and specifications. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 238210, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. with a standard size of $36.5M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue a IFB on or about 1 November 2018 via FEDBIZOPPS.gov. A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
