About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 4,013 Repair Kit, Valve units with National Stock Number 1H-4820-015135433-PS. The solicitation is a pre-solicitation notice for a non-competitive procurement under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, which allows negotiation with a single source. Interested parties may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the publication date (by April 25, 2025). The government will evaluate submissions to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement, with a specific focus on whether the offeror, product, service, or manufacturer meets qualification requirements as specified in FAR clause 52.209-1. Potential vendors must include their CAGE Code on solicitation requests and may obtain relevant technical documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via online resources or direct contact.

This procurement is not set aside for any specific business category and appears to be a commercial/off-the-shelf item acquisition. The contract involves valves in the PSC Category 4820-P (Nonpowered Valves) with a technical description version 005 and reference number VRK-2-N. Delivery will be FOB Origin, and the procurement may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and Buy American Act provisions. While no specific award value is mentioned, the quantity of 4,013 units suggests a potentially significant contract. The solicitation indicates that the government will make a determination about competitive procurement based solely on its discretion, and interested parties have an opportunity to demonstrate their capability to satisfy the government's requirement within 15 days of the notice.
