The purpose of this sources sought notice is to establish sources that currently have the capability and willingness to perform the solid waste and recycling management services required at the Phoenix VA Health Care System. The responses received will be used to determine any SDVOSB/VOSB or small business size standard set-aside that may or may not apply when the official Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued. The official RFQ will be issued on or about 5/31/2017. Below is the estimated Statement of Work with anticipated estimated quantities/frequency.

I. BACKGROUND

The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, vehicles, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform (Non-Hazardous) Solid Waste Collection, Weighing, and Disposal Services at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, 650 E. Indian School Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85012. The contractor shall perform in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, schedule and attached scope of work (SOW) and resultant contract herein as well as all local, state, and federal regulations. Contract term will be for a base year (10/01/2017 09/30/2018), with four (4) one-year options. Award will be made subject to availability of funds.

The C & A requirements do not apply, Security Accreditation Package is not required. Project does not involve the storage, generating, transmitting or exchange of VA sensitive information. No sensitive information will be handled by contractor performing work.

B. Hazardous Material Assessment: No hazardous materials are expected to be encountered in the course of the project. If the presence of hazardous materials is suspected, notify the Contracting Officer s Representative immediately for assistance.
