Modified: Aug 27, 2012 9:00 amTrack Changes
In accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements, this modification to increase the ordering ceiling of contract number W15P7T-06-D-A008 is being synopsized.
Contract number W15P7T-06-D-A008 is a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) vehicle for the procurement, repair, and Engineering support for the AN/ARC-231 Multi-mode Aviation Radio System (MARS). The MARS is a commercial multi-mode radio that provides line of sight and non-line of sight communications on Army Aviation platforms. This effort was originally competed "full and open", awarded to Raytheon Corporation, and is currently in year six (6) of a ten (10) year period of performance (PoP). The original ceiling for the effort was $312 Million. The anticipated ceiling increase of $305 Million will bring the total contract ceiling to $617 Million. This ceiling increase is necessitated by a delay in fielding the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS), which has caused an unanticipated increase in the monthly demand for the MARS units.
