NNA10DE59C entitled Surface Conflict Detection and Resolution withEmphasis on Trajectory-Based Operations the R&D efforts will focus on achieving thehighest possible efficiency in the use of such airportal resources as gates, taxiways,runways, and metroplex airspace. NASA Ames Research Center has committed support for specific efforts under the AmericanRecovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Recovery Act funds NASAs Airspace SystemsProgram Research funded by the Recovery Act. The NASA Research Announcement (NRA),NNH09ZEA001N-AP1R sought proposals that focused on achieving the highest possibleefficiency in the use of such airportal resources as gates, taxiways, runways, andmetroplex airspace.

WAS COMPETITIVELY SELECTED UNDER NASA RESEARCH ANNOUNCEMENT.NASA Ames Research Center has committed support for specific efforts under the AmericanRecovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Recovery Act funds for NASAs Airspace SystemsProgram Research funded by the Recovery Act. The NASA Research Announcement (NRA), NNH09ZEA001N-AP1R, sought proposals that focus onachieving the highest possible efficiency in the use of such airportal resources asgates, taxiways, runways, and metroplex airspace. The NextGen Airportal Project objective is to conduct research to develop concepts andtechnologies that would enable significant increases in efficiency and throughput ofairport surface operations while maintaining safety. NASA Ames Research Center intends to issue a contract entitled Surface ConflictDetection and Resolution with Emphasis on Trajectory-Based Operations, which will focuson ground-based conflict detection and resolution (CD&R) algorithm development. The proposal was previously submitted in response to a NASA Research AnnouncementNNH09ZEA001N-AP1R, Research Opportunities in Aeronautics (ROA) 2009 issued April 13,2009.This effort will be performed at Optimal Synthesis, Inc., authorized under the AmericanRecovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
