Added: May 18, 2010 11:32 am THIS CONTRACT ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA).



The Forest Service has a requirement that will utilize funds provided by the AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA) of 2009; interested parties are notified that the inclusion of unique provisions required in implementing the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency, will be required of the successful bidder.



The purpose of this announcement is to make notice that the Forest Service contemplates releasing a solicitation numbered AG-82B1-S-10-0408 fifteen calendar days after the Pre-Solicitation Notice, for the shoulder repairs of Hamby Fork Road #651 Projects. If the solicitation is released, it will be released through this FedBizOpps website, and prospective bidders should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information about this Acquisition will be distributed solely through this website. This notice meets the requirements of FAR 5.201; however, the Forest Service reserves the right not to release a solicitation.



PROJECT LOCATION: The work is located approximately 12 miles South of Lowell on Forest Road 651, on Moose Creek Ranger District. The precise details of performing the work are not stipulated except as considered essential for the successful completion of the work. Furnish all labor, material, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work according to the contract.



PRE-BID/SITE VISIT: There is no pre-bid/site visit scheduled for this projects/efforts. However, Offeror(s) are encourage to visit the work site & review the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.236-3, Site Investigation & Conditions Affecting the Work (APR 1984). Failure of the Offeror to ascertain the nature, location & conditions which affect the work will not relieve the Offeror the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government.

GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: $25,000 and $100,000. Performance and payment bonds will be required per the Miller Act and Davis Bacon wage rates will apply.



All responsible sources may submit a bid which will be considered by the Government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423 or via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov//.
