Recovery Act funding is being used for a Small Business Innovative Research competitive Phase II award to Allcomp Inc. for $749,960. A Cost Plus fixed fee type contract is being used because contract performance involved uncertainties that would not permit costs to be estimated with sufficient accuracy to permit the use of a fixed price contract. As such, a cost-reimbursement type action was awarded (FAR 16.301-2).
