THIS IS AN AMENDMENT TO THE PRESOLICITATION SYNOPSIS POSTED 0N 01/19/2010 AND AMENDED ON 02/24/2010 FOR SOLICITATION 10ERSS0040, CONSTRUCT SEGMENT D ADDITION AND PROVIDE FIRE SUPPRESSION IN SEGMENT D AT UPPER MIDWEST ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES CENTER, LA CROSSE, WI (CO0002A and DM0005B).
The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for CONSTRUCT SEGMENT D ADDITION AND PROVIDE FIRE SUPPRESSION IN SEGMENT D AT UPPER MIDWEST ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES CENTER, LA CROSSE, WI. The Government anticipates award of a non-commercial, firm fixed price contract. The anticipated period of performance is 07/15/2010 through 07/14/2011. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about 04/16/2010. The associated solicitation number is 10ERSS0040. The offeror is responsible for monitoring the Fedbizopps site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). A formal solicitation, statement of work, and technical exhibits are not available for release at this time.
This requirement is being issued as full and open competition. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220. There is not an incumbent contractor.
Full or partial funding for requirements to be completed by the resultant contract may utilize funds provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements by the successful offeror(s), will be required in any resultant contract.

The revised list of contractors follows: Perini Management Services, Framingham, MA; MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Kennesaw, GA; and BlueScope Construction, Kansas City, MO; C3, Greenwood Village, CO; CH2M Hill, Englewood, CO; URS Group, Denver, CO. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THESE INCUMBENT CONTRACTORS. The original IDIQ contract awards were made on a competitive basis.
The date that the solicitation and any related documents will be provided to the IDIQ contractors is revised to 24 FEB 10.

In compliance with the transparency and accountability requirements associated with the supplemental appropriations provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the 'Act'), Public Law 111-5, this notice is provided for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), intends to solicit competition and issue a task order under the established Indefinite Delivery-Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract number 98210AD00X awarded to Perini Management Services, Framingham, MA; MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Kennesaw, GA; and BlueScope Construction, Kansas City, MO. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THESE INCUMBENT CONTRACTORS. The original IDIQ contract awards were made on a competitive basis.
The task order to be competed and issued against the aforementioned contracts is for the following construction requirement: CONSTRUCTION OF SEGMENT D AT UPPER MIDWEST ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE CENTER, LA CROSSE, WI (CO0002A). The project will include constructing a 22,500 sf addition to the existing facility. Addition will be two story with equipment rooms on the roof and will include large conference room, 3 small conf/meeting rooms, 48 offices, storage spaces, elevator, entrance lobby, restrooms, mechanical and electrical space, and HVAC systems. Shall also include site excavation, concrete, underground and above ground utilities, A/V systems and equipment, furnishings, and interior/exterior finish work.
The task order is anticipated to be awarded no later than 31 Mar 10. The construction period of performance will not exceed 300 calendar days. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be provided to the IDIQ contractors on or about 17 Feb 10.
Full or partial funding for the requirements to be completed by the contractor will utilize funds provided by the Act. Inclusion of unique provisions required to implement the Act, including those for significant reporting and transparency requirements, is required. (ATN CO0002A)
