Added: Jul 09, 2015 10:43 am Modified: Jul 09, 2015 10:53 amTrack Changes The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Western Ecological Research Center, Las Vegas Field Station, intends to make a non-competitive award to Telonics, Mesa, Arizona in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 (b) to purchase twenty (20) Global Positioning System (GPS) Iridium collars with a timed release mechanism designed for use on desert bighorn sheep. The USGS requires Telonics GPS collars to provide continuity of data for analysis purposes, and fit within existing hardware/software infrastructure.

This requirement is a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation.

This is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect throughout Federal Acquisition Circular: FAC 2005-83, dated 02 July 2015.

The NAICS code is 334220 - Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment, and the associated size standard is 750 employees.

The Government anticipates an award of a commercial and Firm Fixed Price type purchase order.
