Added: Nov 18, 2013 8:37 am Modified: Nov 19, 2013 3:22 pmTrack Changes The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) located in Miami, Florida requires contractual services to provide onsite medical physics and dosimetry support for radiation oncology services to eligible beneficiaries. Services shall be provided on site in Radiation Oncology Service, VA Medical Center, 1201 NW 16 Street, Miami, Florida 33125. The contractor shall provide on Miami VA premises 0.6 FTE Radiation Oncology Physician, 1.0 FTE Medical Physicist, and a Maximum 205 hours of Certified Medical Dosimetrist Coverage. The contractor shall furnish all necessary supervision and qualified competent personnel to perform the service as specified within the performance work statement (PWS). The Contractor shall provide all Radiation Oncologist physician care in accordance with current VA guidelines as well as The Joint Commission (TJC) and American College of Radiology (ACR) compliance guidelines.

The Authority for this procurement is the Department of Veterans Affairs Directive 1663 implementing provisions of Public Law 104-262, the Veterans Health Care Eligibility Reform Act of 1996, which expands VA's health care resources sharing authority in Title 38 United States Code (U.S.C.) Sections 8151-8153 (sharing authority).

The contract period will consist of a base period with an additional one year option renewal. The solicitation will be for commercial items prepared in accordance with the subparts in Federal Acquisition Regulation 12 and evaluated in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 13.106. The solicitation document will be issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) VA248-14-Q-0093. The procurement will be a 100% Small Business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561320 Temporary Help Services with a size standard of $25.5 million. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available on or about November 27, 2013 with quotes being due on or before December 16, 2013. The solicitation will be posted to www.fbo.gov. Any amendments or additional information issued to this solicitation will also be available at the FBO website. Offerors are responsible for obtaining any and all amendments or additional information.
