The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ awarded contract
N68335-15-C-0124 to American Valley Aviation (AVA), Orange Park, FL for the refurbishment of twenty four Standardized wing pylons, five primary pylon assemblies and five 1,000/2,000 pound class store pylons, which the Government provided as Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). The contractor shall cannibalize, convert and refurbish the GFE in "like new", Ready for Issue condition and provide all equipment necessary to integrate/attach the pylons and racks to P-3A aircraft for the Government of Brazil in support of FMS Case# BR-P-SDD.
In accordance with the Letter of Offer and Acceptance, Amendment 9 for Foreign Military Sales Case# BR-P-SDD, validated and approved on 26 June 2014, the purchaser requested that AVA be designated as the prime contractor for Aviation Armament Equipment. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(4), FAR 6.302-4, the Government issued a sole source contract to AVA because of the terms of an international agreement between the United States and a foreign government.
