Added: Aug 02, 2008 9:40 am The Bureau of Labor Statistics intends to award on a sole source basis under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with RS Means Construction Plaza 63 Smiths Lane Kingston, MA 02364-0800, a purchase order to aid in estimating an output price index for New Warehouse Buildings, as a sole source provider for services NTE $ 22,933.00



These services and data are not available from public sector sources. It is the intention of the Bureau of Labor Statistics to procure these services and data from the appropriate private sector vendor.



The Producer Price Index needs services and data to aid in estimating an output price index for New Manufacturing and Industrial Buildings. These services and data are not available from public sector sources. It is the intention of the Bureau of Labor Statistics to procure these services and data from the appropriate private sector vendor, RS Means.



Services will include the application of established expertise in the economic analysis of construction industry data to assist in the implementation of pricing methodologies appropriate to complex heterogeneous Manufacturing and Industrial building construction projects. Data will include unit cost and quantity information for six Manufacturing and Industrial building models. Data will be presented in four quarterly updates for each model. These updates will include revised labor, material, and equipment costs, as well as sub-contractor and general contractor mark-ups for each unit item specified in the models. In addition, substitutions of new unit items will be made as changes in building practices and materials related to the six Manufacturing and Industrial models occur in the marketplace.
