About this opportunity

This notice seeks proposals for the lease of a Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technology analyzer with syndromic panels and associated test kits. The Department of the Army Medical Command requires an analyzer that can test patient specimens for a wide range of viral, bacterial, and parasitic pathogens associated with blood infections, respiratory illness, meningitis/encephalitis, and gastrointestinal disease. The analyzer must integrate with the MHS Genesis electronic health record, provide results within 90 minutes, and require minimal operator intervention. Proposals are due by July 29, 2020.

There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. The analyzer must be able to simultaneously process four patient specimens for any combination of assays, store reagents at room temperature, and receive onsite technical support within 24 hours of a service notification. The resulting contract will have a one-year base period and two one-year options, valued at an amount appropriate for this analyzer, related panels, service requirements, and annual contract period.
