Contract SPM2DE-11-D-7546 has been awarded to Korrect Optical, 3801 Bishop Lane, Louisville, KY 40218. The estimated dollar value of the contract is
$8,500,000.00. The contract is a 1-year base period to include 4-1 year option periods.

This solicitation will be re-opened under Amendment 0004 to receive new proposals. Amendment 0004 will be posted to the DLA Internet Bulletin Board System (DIBBS), http://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil/ on or about March 25, 2010. Closing dates are established as 3:00 P.M./EST on April 30, 2010 and May 31, 2010. To locate a solicitation, go to the DIBBS website, from the menu bar select "RFP/IFBs", then conduct a search either through the "Search the RFP/IFB Database" or the "Solicitation Package Search" areas. The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is the inventory control point for purchasing optical lenses for the U.S. military around the world. This is a standing solicitation from which the U.S. Government intends to award multiple contracts to manufacturers and distributors of optical lenses. Resultant contracts will be Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contracts and will consist of a one year base period and four one year option periods. The estimated value of the resultant contracts is $6,000,000.00 annually. This is an aggregate amount for all anticipated contracts awarded pursuant to this solicitation. Lenses required by the military customers are listed in the solicitation under Schedule of Supplies. The contractor shall submit a Product Catalog, listing all optical lenses available to the customers ordering under the resultant contracts. These resulting multiple contracts will be used to support our DoD military customers worldwide, non DoD Federal Government customers, as well as DSCP, acting as the customer. DSCP is the single order entry point under these contracts. Customers will be ordering supplies utilizing an internet-based web site. Please reference the solicitation number in all email correspondence. Added: January 7, 2004 The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia is the inventory control point for purchasing Optical Lenses for the U.S. military around the world. This is an open season solicitation from which the U.S. government intends to award multiple contracts to manufacturers and distributors of Optical Lenses. Contract terms include one base year and four option years. Examples of lenses being solicited include, but are not limited to, Single Vision, Bifocal, Trifocal, Hi-Index, Polycarbonate, Glass Finished and Semi-Finished. The estimated value of the resultant contracts is $4,800,000 annually. The maximum amount annually is $9,600,000. (These amounts are aggregate for all contracts.) The contractor shall submit a Product Catalog, listing all frames available to the customer ordering, under the resultant contracts. DSCP is the single order entry point under these contracts. Military customers will be ordering lenses utilizing an internet-based website/Electronic Catalog (ECAT). The solicitation will be available on the DLA Procurement Gateway address, http://progate.daps.dla.mil/home on January 28, 2004. From the Gateway homepage, select search RFP's from the left-hand sidebar menu. Choose the RFP that you wish to view. You must be registered with the DLA Procurement Gateway to download RFP's. If you are not registered, you will be directed on how to do so at the time of your request. RFP's are in portable document format (.pdf). In order to use the downloaded file, you will need a recent version of Adobe's Acrobat Reader. This software is available at the email address admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil. Important Note on Foreign Content: The Defense Appropriations and Authorization Acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment) impose restrictions on the DoD's acquisition of foreign products and services. There is no closing date for receipt of offers; therefore, offers may be submitted for consideration at any time. Please reference solicitation number SP0200-04-R-5004 in all email correspondence.
