The Contractor shall provide a sample of the final shredding product, upon request of the NRC COR. Shredding must meet requirements contained in 10 CFR 73.22. Piece sizes no wider than one quarter inch composed of several pages or documents and thoroughly mixed are considered completely destroyed. (10 CFR 73.22).

However, if that requirement cannot be met, the shredded paper size must be kept as close as possible to the one quarter inch size and the resulting shredded waste shall undergo additional destruction such as burning, shredding or any other method that precludes reconstruction by means available to the public at large. The shredded waste shall not be disposed of in any manner that does not render it completely destroyed, such as trash disposal. The shredded waste shall not be declared completely destroyed until it has gone through additional destruction. At least one individual shall be able to meet the requirements for an NRC issued Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card.

Please see the attached modified Solicitation/SOW.
The due date for proposals has been extended to 09/08/2016 at 5pm ET.
