SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE
Description of Requirement:
Network Contracting Office 9 (NCO 9) is posting this Sources Sought Notice for the purpose of locating capable small businesses to provide one Locum Tenen Occupational Therapist. NCO 9 may exercise its right to Sole Source this procurement to a capable Veteran Owned Small Business provider, or other small business provider, who has a qualified candidate capable of beginning work as early as May 1, 2017.
This is a contract for healthcare resources to be furnished on-site at the Lexington VA Medical Center including both the Leestown Campus: 2250 Leestown Road, Lexington, KY 40511-1093; and the Cooper Drive Campus: 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502-2235. This is an urgent requirement for Occupational Therapists to work on-site at either or both of the Lexington VAMC Campuses for a period of approximately six (6) months and the requirement shall include four 6-month options to extend the period of performance.
The preference is for experienced Occupational Therapists, however a recent graduate is acceptable if no experienced candidate can be located. The Contractor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the services described in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). Contractor will provide Occupational Therapy coverage services as specified in the PWS. All professionals providing services under the terms of this contract will be appropriately certified and/or licensed as described in the PWS, and shall possess the requisite skills and experience to perform the services as required.
Contractor shall not perform inherently governmental functions.
Qualified personnel must be American citizens (or offer evidence of a green card). Contractor s employee(s) shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the Government s requirements, to include the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
At this time the Lexington VAMC is seeking to locate a small business provider for these services. Potential small business providers may submit proposals. To be considered for a sole source award, the proposal MUST include the following: documentation of proposed candidate credentials and qualifications showing the candidate meets all PWS stated qualifications; the date the candidate is available to begin work; three references for the proposed candidate; and proposed pricing. If a capable small business is located the Government may make an award from this Sources Sought Notice. This requirement will be a single award however the Government reserves the right to make no award.
