About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 45 units of NSN 1H-5310-LLH883135-D4, a specific technical document package (TDP) with version 002, to be delivered to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine. The pre-solicitation notice indicates an upcoming solicitation for a small business contract, with potential set-aside classifications that could include HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, or Women-Owned Small Business concerns. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the notice, interested parties are directed to obtain necessary military specifications and standards through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) in Philadelphia, with documents available through ASSIST-Online. The pre-solicitation was posted on February 15, 2025, with responses due by March 17, 2025, providing potential vendors approximately one month to prepare their submissions. Interested parties can access required documentation through online resources or by contacting the DODSSP ASSIST Help Desk for additional support.
The contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns, with the specific small business designation to be clarified in the full solicitation. While no incumbent contractor is identified, the procurement is for a very specific product within the Nuts and Washers product service category (PSC 5310). No explicit award value or budget range is provided in the notice, but the procurement involves 45 units of a technical document package. Potential vendors will need to carefully review the detailed technical requirements and ensure they meet the small business qualification criteria for the specific set-aside category. Documentation for the procurement can be obtained through the DODSSP, with multiple access methods including online download, website ordering, or direct contact with the help desk. Vendors should pay close attention to the specific technical requirements and be prepared to demonstrate their small business credentials when the full solicitation is released.
