NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE-SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Region II Office, intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order to Lanier Parking Solutions, 245 Peachtree Center Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30303. The authority to enter into a contract on a sole-source basis with Lanier Parking Solutions is made under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 © (1) and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 which provides for limiting competition in those situations where the supplies or services are available from only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) proposes to enter into a sole source arrangement with Lanier Parking Solutions for the Marquis I and International Tower Garage Access and Parking Rental at the Marquis I Tower Office Building. Lanier Parking Solution is the current vendor and the only one who can provide this services to the NRC occupants of the Marquis I Tower building. The period of performance for this contract is one year.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 812930 "Parking Lots & Garages".
The Government intends to solicit and negotiate directly with Lanier Parking Solutions. The anticipated award date is January 1, 2017. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotations. Additionally, in order to perform work for the NRC, potential sources must be free of conflict of interest (COI). For information on the NRC COI regulations, visit NRC Acquisition Regulation Subpart 2009.5 (http://www.nrc.gov/about-nrc/contracting/48cfr-ch20.html). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
